Holistic health care is not cheap, but it is a true bargain in today's health care marketplace. Research shows that people who receive chiropractic care spend on average 50% less on medical services than people who do not. Consider that you may be able to reduce or eliminate your expensive prescription drugs after receiving treatment! We always make an effort to control costs by eliminating unnecessary X-rays, test, and treatments while maintaining quality care.
DISCOUNTED FEES*: To get the best possible cost for your treatment, please pay at our time-of-service discounted rate. If you pay in full as you go, our fees are deeply discounted. See our fee schedule page for more information. We accept checks, money orders, cash, Visa, MasterCard, American Express, and Discover for payment of services. HSAs and MSAs normally reimburse for medically necessary services you receive here.
INSURANCE:
All fees are due and payable when services are rendered unless prior arrangements have been made. If you expect to pay less than the full cost of your services, please give us your insurance information at least 24 hours in advance so we can verify your coverage.
We accept BC/BS PPC as well as verified health insurance, PIP auto insurance, and selected Worker's Compensation and Medicaid cases. We accept cash, checks and credit cards. We file major medical, Personal Injury, and Worker's Compensation. Special discounts* are available for payment in full at time of service.
Most health and automobile insurance covers chiropractic care; many also cover massage and acupuncture. We will bill verified insurance for the percentage they indicate they will pay. Of course, if they do not pay, the patient or his or her parent or guardian remains responsible for payment. Some patients choose to pay at our discounted time-of-service payment rate and be reimbursed for care; we submit the claims for you.
Medicare
We accept Medicare assignment for the only service Medicare covers at Whole Health: chiropractic adjustments necessary for treating a medical condition. Medicare may not even pay for this service, since their definition of “necessary” can be somewhat arbitrary. Medicare does not pay for massage, acupuncture, preparatory therapies, or adjustments for wellness care, so you will need to pay for these at the time of service.
HMOs: We do not currently participate in any H.M.O. plans including CHP. We have a discounted fee schedule* for patients who pay at the time of service. About 30% of our patients are covered under HMOs and choose to pay our time-of-service fee rather than utilize the in-network providers and pay the HMO copayment.
If you have valuable skills or abilities, the doctor is open to considering barter as well. Examples of possibly needed skills are carpentry, gardening, alterations/sewing, arts and crafts, etc.
Our policy is never to refuse anyone care because of inability to pay. However, it has been our experience that people respond better to treatment when they have something, however small, invested in it. In the case of true poverty, If you are willing to make your health care a priority, we can work out a nominal payment that will fit your needs.
*THE PATIENT AND ANY OTHER PARTY RESPONSIBLE FOR PAYMENT HAS THE RIGHT TO REFUSE TO PAY, CANCEL PAYMENT, OR BE REIMBURSED FOR PAYMENT FOR ANY OTHER SERVICE, EXAMINATION, OR TREATMENT WHICH IS PERFORMED AS A RESULT OF AND WITHIN 72 HOURS OF RESPONDING TO THE ADVERTISEMENT FOR THE FREE, DISCOUNTED FEE, OR REDUCED FEE SERVICE, EXAMINATION, OR TREATMENT.
