WHIPLASH INJURIES:
Dr. Dwyer has completed postgraduate courses in motor vehicle acceleration/ deceleration injuries ("whiplash"). Dr. Dwyer's first encounter with chiropractic was as a college student, when she suffered from painful neck spasms sustained in a car accident at the age of 16. Her experience was that the only things that helped were chiropractic and massage therapy (and later, acupuncture). This caused her to abandon her premedical ambitions and take a pre-chiropractic route instead. Since becoming a chiropractor, she has studied with Dr. Arthur Croft at the Spine Research Institute of San Diego and has served as an expert in over 400 legal cases involving whiplash injuries. She is qualified as an expert witness in local county courts and at the Federal level.
